Crafting Process

1. Selecting the Wood: Choose a type of wood suitable for coasters, such as oak, maple, or bamboo. Ensure the surface is smooth and clean.
2. Preparing the Wood: Sand the wood to create a smooth surface, then wipe it clean to remove any dust or debris.
3. Arranging Pressed Flowers: Arrange the pressed flowers on the wooden coaster in the desired design. You can experiment with different flower types and arrangements to achieve the look you want.
4. Applying UV Resin:
   • First Layer: Apply a thin layer of UV resin over the arranged flowers, ensuring they are fully covered. This initial layer helps secure the flowers in place.
   • Curing: Use a UV light to cure the resin, which typically takes a few minutes.
   • Second Layer: Apply a second layer of UV resin for additional depth and protection, then cure it again under the UV light.
5. Finishing Touches: Once the resin is fully cured, check for any rough edges or bubbles. Lightly sand any imperfections and apply a final thin layer of resin if needed to achieve a smooth, glossy finish.

Workshop Duration: 

10 – 15 mins (depending on pace of attendees).

Participants who have resin art experience might take a shorter time to complete, upon full payment you will receive the unit number.

After the workshop concludes, you can take your artwork with you immediately. However, if you’re unable to take it at that time, you have the option to self-collect it later. Alternatively, I can arrange for delivery for an additional $5 for packages weighing up to 5kg and with dimensions (length + breadth + height) totalling up to 150cm and it will be delivered within 3 working days. Should you desire additional finishing touches such as removing resin drips and sanding the artwork, there will be an extra charge of $10 per artwork. All participants can enjoy 10% off art supplies (except promotional items) on the day of the workshop.
