UV Resin Mobile Stand with Miniature Bottles

This guide will help you create a one-of-a-kind mobile stand using UV resin, a wooden coaster, and miniature bottles.

Materials:

• Wooden coaster
• UV resin (casting type)
• UV lamp
• Miniature bottles (various shapes, sizes, and colors)
• Mobile stand mold (or mobile stand components)
• Silicone mixing cups
• Mixing sticks
• Protective gloves
• Masking tape or painter’s tape (optional)
• Decorative elements (glitter, miniature bottles, beads) (optional)
• Sandpaper (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preparation:

   • Protect your workspace with a covering.
   • Clean and dry the wooden coaster. Sand it lightly for a smooth surface (optional).

2. Design Layout:

   • Arrange the miniature bottles and any decorations on the coaster to create your design. Ensure there’s space for the mobile stand components.

3. Securing Elements:

   • Use a small amount of UV resin to secure the bottles and decorations in place. Apply resin, position the elements, and cure with the UV lamp for a few minutes.

4. Creating the Mobile Stand:

   • If using components, directly glue them onto the coaster with UV resin and cure them. Ensure they are secure and properly aligned.

5. Pouring Resin:

   • Mix the UV resin in a silicone cup. Add color or glitter at this stage (optional).
   • Slowly pour the resin onto the coaster, covering the base and encasing the bottles. Use a mixing stick to spread evenly.
   • Remove any bubbles using a toothpick or heat gun.

6. Curing:

   • Place the coaster with resin under the UV lamp. Cure according to the resin manufacturer’s instructions (usually a few minutes, depending on brand and thickness). Ensure all layers are fully cured before proceeding.

7. Finishing Touches:

   • Once cured, inspect the coaster for rough edges or uneven surfaces. Sand lightly if needed.
   • For a domed effect, add another layer of resin and cure again (optional).

8. Final Assembly:

   • Ensure the mobile stand components are secure and the entire piece is stable.
   • Clean the finished product to remove any resin residue.

Tips:

• Work in a ventilated area and wear gloves to avoid skin contact with resin.
• Cure each layer properly to prevent tackiness.
• Get creative with decorations! Embed various items in the resin for a unique look.
